Our Commitment to Accessibility

The ATW Web Application is committed to being accessible to all users, regardless of their abilities or technologies used. We continuously work to improve the usability and accessibility of our application for people with disabilities.

Our Goal: We strive to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards.

Currently Implemented Accessibility Features

Multilingual Support

  • • Full support for German and English
  • • Accessible language switcher with ARIA attributes
  • • Proper HTML language markup

Semantic Structure

  • • Use of semantic HTML5 elements
  • • Logical heading hierarchy
  • • Navigation, main, and footer landmarks

Keyboard Navigation

  • • Full keyboard navigation without mouse
  • • Visible focus indicators
  • • Logical tab order

Form Accessibility

  • • Proper label association for all input fields
  • • Descriptive error messages
  • • Client-side form validation

Ongoing Improvements

We are actively working on the following accessibility improvements:

  • • Addition of skip navigation links
  • • Enhanced ARIA labels and live regions
  • • Improved color contrasts and high-contrast mode
  • • Optimization for screen reader software
  • • Larger touch targets on mobile devices

Known Limitations

The following areas are known to us and are being actively addressed:

  • • Dynamic content is not always announced by screen readers
  • • Some color combinations do not yet meet WCAG AA standards
  • • Complex interactions (e.g., drag & drop) have limited keyboard alternatives
